  • Puffer Fish

Most of us are familiar with this pufferfish. It is an attractive fish with hidden harm, especially its organ. Thus, the poison remains inside them. Swellfish or blowfish is another term for them. They can also inflate themselves and become globular in form when disturbed. 

As for its appearance, it has rough, prickly skins and fused teeth. It has a beaklike structure with a split in the center of each jaw. It becomes aggressive when you feed them. They use their teeth to break the live food you are giving them. That is why it can be a danger for your kids, especially when they try to feed them independently. 

  • Red Lionfish

Red lionfish have an excellent color that is different from other fish. It has a unique structure that others don’t have. Additionally, even if it looks outstanding, it is harmful. It contains an evil substance in its fin spine. As a result, it can cause painful, rarely fatal, puncture wounds to anyone. Red Lionfish has enlarged pectoral fins and elongated dorsal fin spines. Each species bears a particular pattern of bold, zebra-like stripes. 

Moreover, this fish spreads and displays its fins when they are disturbed, and if further pressed, it will present and attack the dorsal spines. For that reason, you must restrict your kids from getting a puncture wound from this kind of species. As you know, it may happen when they are trying to feed them and accidentally put the fingers in the water and disturb the fish unintentionally. 

  • Piranha

Piranha becomes one of the dangerous fish pets that some people love to raise. Some people call them Caribe or Piraya. As for its signature structure, it has saw-edged bellies, deep bodies, sizeable blunt head with solid jaws bearing sharp, triangular teeth that you can compare to a scissor-like bite. 

On the other hand, some piranha species are more attracted to blood smells. As you can see in some movies, some can indeed hunt and track down where the blood smells come from. Thus, there are still less harmful species, but either of them is still dangerous for your kids. As you know, kids are unpredictable when they see exciting things moving. That is why it is better to secure them by restricting them from your piranhas. 

  • Electric Eel

This species can produce a powerful electric shock that instantly paralyzes its prey in seconds. It is long, scaleless, cylindrical, and has gray-brown color. Moreover, its tail has a different story. Its region constitutes about four-fifths of the electric eel’s total length. It is bordered along the underside by an undulating anal fin to propel the fish. 

Furthermore, despite its name, this species is not a true eel. It is related to Characin fish that includes piranhas and neon tetras. And with regards to its harmfulness. It would be better to restrict your kids from getting closer to this kind of pet.
