The DC universe is one of the most well-known comic book franchises that have garnered a ginormous fan base throughout the years.

Fans are so dedicated to the DC universe that they spend their time reading every comic book, watch through all the shows, both animated series, and live-action, and even start collecting action figures of their favorite DC superhero such as batman toys.

Wonder Woman (2017)

This is the first film of the Wonder Woman franchise where it follows the story of Diana, princess of the Amazons, who was trained to be an unconquerable warrior since she was a little girl. When she meets an American Pilot who told her about the raging wars in the outside world, she was convinced to leave her home which was on a sheltered island, for the first time. When Diana started battling the war to end all wars, this was when she discovered more of her abilities and her calling to be Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)

After what happened in the first film, Diana Prince decided to stay and live quietly among mortals in the era of the 80’s where everyone was driven by the pursuit of having it all. She was a collector of ancient artifacts by day and Wonder Woman by night. Despite having to conceal her identity to commoners, she had to muster all strength, courage and wisdom to battle against Maxwell Lord, and the Cheetah who was a woman who acquired superhuman strength and agility.

Man of Steel (2013)

The story of Superman began with Jor-El and his wife as they send their son to earth after the destruction of their home – Krypton in order to preserve their race. The child’s spacecraft was found by a farmer couple, Jonathan and Martha Kent, who then raised this child under the name Clark. He grew up living on the fringe of society because of his extraordinary abilities but he learned to embrace this and decide to become Superman to save the lives of his loved ones after a dire threat surfaced in his city.

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Two years after what happened in the aforementioned film, the city of Metropolis ended up in a devastating state. Superman was considered as a threat to their society after the damage he has caused to their city including the number of lives that were lost and the damages are done to significant properties. This is where crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne (who we all know and love as Batman) comes into the picture. Batman develops a personal vendetta against the Man of Steel and plans to indefinitely end his reign on earth, but aside from Bruce Wayne, there is also Lex Luthor who launched his own crusade against Superman.

Suicide Squad (2016)

After you meet all the main superheroes of the DC universe, it’s time to introduce to you the ssupervillainswho are also well-loved by the fans. In this movie, a U.S. Intelligence officer decides to assemble all these infamous villains for a top-secret mission. Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc, and other DC villains were now dubbed as Task Force X who has asked to battle a diabolical entity, while resident Gotham City villain, The Joker has an evil agenda of his own.

Justice League (2017)

This film is where two of our main superheroes – Batman and Wonder Woman unite to face an even bigger threat after being inspired by Superman’s selfless act. The duo worked together to recruit a team that will stand against their enemy. However, despite the formation of these powerful superheroes – Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg, they find that it may be too late to save their home from their enemy’s assault.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021)

This is pretty much the same as the previous film we have mentioned but will give you even more detailed storytelling of what happened. This 4-hour long film follows the story of how the Justice League was formed with the drive of not putting Superman’s sacrifice in vain. The team is determined to save the planet from the threat of dreadful intentions of their enemies.

Aquaman (2021)

This story of half-human, half-Atlantean, Aquaman begins in the city of Atlantis which was known to be the most advanced city on Earth. However, with the greedy intentions of his brother King Orm, who transformed Atlantis into an underwater kingdom, Orm planned to conquer the remaining oceanic civilization, and eventually surface the world. Aquaman embarks on a journey, alongside his royal counselor Vulko, to retrieve the legendary Trident of Atlant and embrace his true destiny as protector of the deep.

Shazam! (2019)

The story of Shazam follows the life of 14-year old Billy Batson who has the ability to transform into an adult superhero just by shouting one magic word. This is a turn from DC’s dark and deep storyline by adding humor to this teenage superhero living in an adult body. Billy Batson does what a typical teenager would do as he tries to test out his newfound powers and abilities as Shazam. However, our hero is pressured by time as evil Dr. Thaddeus Silvana reveals an agenda of getting his hand on Shazam’s magical abilities.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn) (2020)

A sequel to Suicide Squad, this follows the story of crowd-favorite villain Harley Quinn after her ugly breakup with the Joker which led to make her as a target. The main character faces the wrath of narcissistic crime boss Black Mask, his side-kick, and all the other thugs in the city while being unprotected. But she meets three deadly women namely: Renee Monoya, Huntress, and Black Canary, whom Harley Quinn make allies with which helped even her mess of a life out.
