Is Orlando a Good Place for Real Estate?

views

Orlando, Florida is one of the most famous tourist cities in the world. Famous for its theme parks, shopping malls, and vibrant nightlife, many might say that Orlando is the perfect place to live. It has everything you could want in a modern city. But is this really the case? Let’s examine the costs and benefits of living in Orlando.

Living In The Tropics

One of the biggest draws of living in Orlando is undoubtedly the weather. The city is literally in the center of the Florida Keys, guaranteeing warm weather all year round. The best time to visit is apparently from October to April, when you’ll experience the perfect combination of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. If you love feeling the hot sun on your back, you’ll definitely want to live there.

While having warm weather is undoubtedly appealing, it doesn’t come without its downsides. The most obvious being the extreme temperatures that you’ll have to deal with. April in particular is renowned for its dangerous heat waves, with the heat index reaching levels rarely seen elsewhere in the country. Along with the heat comes the risk of severe weather, namely windsurfing, and thunderstorms. If you live there during one of these times, you’ll definitely feel the effects.

Miles Of Free Entertainment

Another advantage of living in Orlando is the abundance of entertainment. The city is home to both Disney and Universal Studios, two of the largest and most popular entertainment companies in the world. This alone would make the city worthwhile living, as both companies provide thousands of jobs and generate billions in revenue each year. There are also numerous smaller companies, such as Volcano Bay, which offer unique experiences for those looking for a change of pace from the daily routine.

No Major College Bother

One of the biggest concerns for anyone considering a move to Orlando is the degree of college education required to live there. As previously stated, the city is in the center of Florida, meaning that it is quite accessible to anyone. The farther away you live from the center, the more difficult it will be to get a good job without a degree. While there are some exceptions, such as high-ranking positions at companies like Walt Disney, you must remember that many other jobs, such as fast food and retail, do not require a college degree.

Great Places To Eat And Stay

As previously stated, Orlando is a hub for dining and entertainment. If you’re looking for a place to eat, you’ll have plenty of options. From fast food joints to high-end restaurants, the city has something for everyone. One amazing aspect of the city is its focus on sustainability. The majority of eateries and hotels in Ollord aim to be green, using as little energy as possible and only serving organic food and drink.

Another great place to eat in Orlando is Mimi’s Cafe. Known for its gigantic cinnamon rolls, Mimi’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner – and they do it all with class. If you’re looking for an upscale dining experience, you could always try one of the city’s many fine restaurants, such as The Cheesecake Factory or BLT Prime. For something more affordable, you could head to a local burger joint.

Shopping Malls Encompassing Entertainment

More than anything else, what makes Orlando unique is its combination of malls and entertainment. The city is filled with entertainment venues and shopping malls. If you love to shop, you’ll be in heaven, as there are truly some amazing shops in Orlando. The best part is that many of the malls also feature various attractions, such as water parks, movies, and/or theme parks.
