Creative moving announcement ideas for holidays

It’s not every day you get the time to move. It takes months, sometimes years of planning.

But when you finally do, you want to let the world know your moving announcements with a bang.

I can’t say we don’t share the same feeling. That’s why today we bring you some creative moving announcement ideas for holidays.

Sending cards:

If you normally send holiday gift cards to your friends and families do the same here too. The twist here is that instead of just normally greeting them for a holiday, you will send a surprise message about moving.

One of the oldest trick in the book, but a solid one. It never fails to surprise people.

Getting a new home is not a simple task. That’s why your family will also appreciate it if you let them know beforehand.

Trust me, it’s not cliche. It’s a great way of letting your friends and family know.

You can even go one step ahead and write some poems or one-liners.

“Our Christmas tree has a new home.”

Social media is your friend:

Currently, finding people that don’t use any kind of social media is hard. If you use some of them, you probably have friends and family or some strangers on them. Strangers on the internet can be really wholesome.

You can find plenty of greetings or banners for moving announcements on the internet. It’s not that hard, honestly. But if you have some basic photoshop skills, you can go the extra mile and make your own moving card.

In social media, you necessarily don’t have to make a card to let people know. But we all know an attractive banner is a beautiful banner.

Facebook has a separate option “moved” using that you can change your current place to your new home, and Facebook will show that as a status update.

Using the same banner, you can post on Twitter and Instagram.

Sing a song:

If your friends and family know the silly side of yours, it’s a great way of letting them know that you moved. You can be the writer of the song and the singer. Please sing, to be honest. The reason is simple, and it will be more heartful and hilarious.

Your friends and family will have a good laugh and appreciate your honesty.

I know the idea seems quite bad on the surface. But it’s always a good thing to sing your heart out.

If you don’t want to or can’t write the lyrics, you can ask someone else to do it for you.

Give it a try, and trust me, you will like it.

Who knows your song may turn out to be so good that you end up doing covers on YouTube.

Email:

Many people don’t want to go through the hassle of finding a good card and then send it via mail. The solution to this is simply to send that card virtually. But nowadays not everybody looks at their email except work.

It will be a good idea to let them know beforehand to check their email.

You can go ham on creativity here.

Write a poem, write a song, wish them happy holidays, and let them know the big announcement. Don’t forget to invite them to your new home.

Let your old neighbors know:

You can throw a house party for them. BBQ party in your backyard is always a nice way to spend quality time.

This way, you can let them know your departure from the neighborhood and about your new home.

It will be emotional, nonetheless, something memorable.

You can try any of the above or all of them. It depends on how seriously you want to let people know about your moving announcements. If you are reading this, that means you are moving into a new home, congratulations on that.
